Flooring and wall panelling throughout

Sometimes things just seem to fall into place.

We received a call from Emily at a busy time, when she was feeling stressed out about someone letting her down and her dream house renovation project being put on hold.

Upon hearing her situation and learning that there was a deadline for her project, we didn't hesitate to arrange a meeting at the site that very same day.

While Emily was surprised and happy that we were able to meet her so quickly, she admitted that it was difficult for her to trust after her previous experience. However, desperate to get the work done, she was willing to give us a chance.

We agreed that the project would begin the following week, using the same budget that Emily had originally planned to spend.

The goal was to update the look of the house without breaking the bank.

To achieve this, we decided to replace the flooring throughout the ground floor, panel the walls in the hallway and on the stairs and landing, replace and reposition three radiators, and paint the living and dining room, hallway, and landing walls and woodwork.

During the first couple of days, we focused on lifting the existing floorboards on the ground floor, repositioning the plumbing pipes for the new radiators, and laying 18mm plywood throughout the ground floor.

Once the ground was leveled, we started installing the wooden flooring in a herringbone pattern.

During the final days of the project, we put in the skirting, paneled the walls according to Emily's design preferences, and installed the new radiators.

Working with Emily and her family was a pleasure, and they made us feel welcome in their home. This helped the project run smoothly and efficiently.

We were proud to learn that Emily and her family had already spoken with their neighbors about their experience with us and they had also approached us for their own projects.
