Garden Refurbishment

The client wanted a beautiful garden to make their lock-down experience easier and more enjoyable .

The clients approached us after being recommended by their best friend, who was so happy with our work that they had to recommend us.

After a brief consultation, we organized a meeting at their house to discuss their vision for their garden and the work we could do within the given budget and time frame.

They told us that they were getting pretty frustrated with lockdown and needed a safe sanctuary in their garden where they could unwind and relax away from the chaos of the world. They wanted a little piece of Eden in their garden.

The main things they wanted were a BBQ area, a patio deck for eating and drinking with company, beautiful flower beds, and a gym where they could go once they gained weight after a full evening with friends at the BBQ.

The project took roughly three weeks. In the first week, we leveled the ground in preparation for our work and built a retaining wall to keep parts of the garden soil stable while we worked. In the second week, we built all of the frames and prepared the garden for the main installations. In the final week, we assembled the patio with a lovely pathway leading to the main seating area. We also completed the two pergolas (BBQ & gym area) that would provide shelter to any visitors. They were made up of waterproof roofing and shades that can be retracted, so anyone could be comfortable in all sorts of weather. We finished the project by bringing together two beautiful side flowerbeds and providing electricity to all parts of the garden, so our clients could relax day or night.

They were a great couple to work with. They were incredibly friendly and flexible and treated us well throughout the build. After a brief holiday in Scotland, they even brought gifts for the whole team as a thank you for the work done.

It was a pleasure working with them to build their sanctuary during such a chaotic time.
